KEEPING THE LEGACY ALIVE

Maryland Welcomes the 2014 MPBG Family Reunion to Largo for a

4-Day Confab in the National Capital Area...

After a long trip, these hearty family members from Massachusetts await check-in at the Radisson Hotel in Largo, Maryland.  Others from the Carolinas, Ohio and Virginia also made the trek to gather with family, July 17 - 20, 2014.  This was the first reunion held in Maryland, the third to be held in the National Capital area, and the second to be extended to four days.

The primary reunion hosts - the Bonners of Accokeek, Lanham, and Sandy Spring - are descendants of Samuel and Rinda Bonner, Senior's firstborn, Samuel, Junior.  This eighth biennial reunion, (ninth overall) which has been held regularly since 2000, is scheduled to move on to Stamford, Connecticut in the New York City area in July 2016.

Moorehead-Petty-Bonner-Gaffney Family Reunion Rolls into Hot-lanta!

By planes, trains and automobiles, family members from up and down the eastern seaboard and parts of Ohio converged on Atlanta, Georgia in July 2012 for the family's first 4-day, extended reunion gathering (kicking off on Thursday, as opposed to the usual Friday start).  This was also the first reunion held south of the Gaffney, South Carolina area, where the family's roots first sprouted.

The reunion, held at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter at Ravinia, began July 19th, with a fish-fry at the home of reunion hosts Orvans and April Nelson.  This seventh biennial reunion, (eighth overall) which has been held regularly since 2000, concluded Sunday, July 22nd.  The reunion moves to Largo, Maryland in the DC area in July 2014.
